Come to hear Yale College alumna, Catherine Kissee-Sandoval, a Rhodes Scholar and Associate Professor at Santa Clara University speak on her latest work: “Energy Access is Energy Justice; the Yurok Tribe’s Trailblazing Work to Close the Native American Reservation Electricity Gap,” to be published in the book “Energy Justice, U.S. and International Perspectives.” 

Professor Sandoval worked in partnership with members of the Yurok tribe in California address their electricity gap needs that had consequences for even their educational needs. Professor Sandoval makes will provide recommendations for federal, state, academic, and non-profit initiatives to close the electricity gap.
