Event description:
Join Zaya Delgerjargal (YSE ‘25), the 2024 Yale/Pulitzer Climate Reporting Fellow for a screening of her documentary “Herders at the Edge” and a conversation with her mentor from the fellowship, professional documentary filmmaker Micah Fink. The film explores the climate crisis through the eyes of nomadic herders, highlighting both resilience and vulnerability in the face of unprecedented change. This film is the only climate change documentary in Mongolia that is directed by a Mongolian filmmaker. Zaya and Micah will discuss the making of the film and how to create engaging climate stories. Libby Moeller, the Pulitzer Center’s Reporting Fellow Program Manager will then talk about the 2025 Yale/Pulitzer Climate Reporting Fellowship and how to apply (applications due Feb. 2). This event is sponsored by the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication, the Yale Journalism Initiative, and the Yale Environmental Studies Program.
