Colton Klein, PhD Student in History of Art and Whitney Fellow in the Environmental Humanities, was awarded the 2024 Mervat Zahid Cultural Foundation Prize for best paper(s) presented at the Annual Graduate Student Symposium in Nineteenth-Century Art, co-sponsored by the Association of Historians of Nineteenth-Century Art (AHNCA) and the Dahesh Museum of Art (New York) held on March 16 and March 17, 2024. Klein’s paper was titled “Material Reconstruction: Ecologies of Metal in an 1887 Photograph of Disabled Union Veterans.” Please find a link to more info here.
