Event description: 
Patrick Barker is a PhD candidate studying Atlantic history at Yale. His dissertation concentrates on everyday resistance in the southeastern Caribbean during the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. His work combines qualitative and quantitative analysis drawn from social history with insights from environmental and political history.
