Francesca Bray is a professor in the School of Social and Political Science in the University of Edinburgh, specializing in how politics are expressed and enacted through everyday technologies, and in the politics underpinning different narratives about technology in national, comparative and global history. She has done research on the history of agriculture and of science, technology, and medicine in China. Currently she is engaged in several experimental projects exploring new, non-Eurocentric ways to write global history.
