The Program in Agrarian Studies welcomes everyone to our Spring Graduate Student Colloquium, which will take place this spring on Friday mornings, at 11:00 am EST, from April 30 to May 21. Each session will feature two engaging papers from graduate students from Yale University and beyond.  This session will feature Ethan Barkalow and Claire Mayo. Barkalow will be presenting “Negotiating Nori: Seaweed Farming and Industrialization in Twentieth-Century Tokyo Bay” and Mayo will be presenting “The Great Flood of 1910 Beyond Paris: Nineteenth Century Envirotechnical Regimes and the ‘Flood Pulse’ of the Seine Basin.”
