Location:
Croll Entrance Hall, Yale Divinity School (409 Prospect Street)
Event description:
The YDS community is invited to a reception in the Croll Entrance Hall on Monday, March 31, to celebrate an exhibition by Chris Freimuth ‘25 M.Div. on the land, flora, and fauna of Yale Divinity School.
The event will take place from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. and include brief remarks and a light lunch.
Titled “This World Where We Live: A Celebration of the Land at Yale Divinity School,” the exhibit invites us into the spiritual practice of paying attention to our particular place on earth. By engaging our varied senses through multimedia—including photography, sound, and plant installations—the exhibit offers an opportunity to reconsider the connection between the nature around us and the nature within us. The images and materials all come from the land that is now home to Yale Divinity School. The exhibit is scheduled for installation on March 21.
Exhibit curator Chris Freimuth is a garden designer based in New Haven whose projects can be found throughout New York City and New England—including the newly designed Labyrinth Garden at YDS.
