Thomas E. Lovejoy ’63 B.A., ’71 Ph.D., Senior Fellow at the United Nations Foundation and University Professor, George Mason University will deliver a series of three lectures. The lecture series title is “The World of the Born and the World of the Made: A New Vision of Our Emerald Planet.”
 
Science illuminates the various ways in which we affect the environment, and helps us consider which ways are more desirable and which less. Nature nurtures humanity in multiple ways, but how can we value nature (beyond a utilitarian calculus) and consequently respect it?
