About this program
Artist Isaac Julien has long been invested in decentering colonial narratives through film. Architect Lina Bo Bardi used architectural space to challenge the Western conception of linear time. This introductory talk will look at the affinities between Julien and Bo Bardi and consider their shared commitment to reframing notions of time and history through their chosen crafts: filmmaking and architecture.
