Event description:

LAE welcomes New Haven photographer Marjorie Wolfe to give a talk about her environmental photography. For several years, Wolfe has been working on a project at Sepiessa Point on Martha’s Vineyard, documenting the seasonal and climactic changes on this coastal landscape. This natural reserve features a large pond that has been historically maintained by local tribes and communities but is now threatened by rising sea levels. Wolfe is interested in capturing and understanding how and why Sepiessa Point is changing, and how to document environmental transformation in photography.

Light reception will follow the talk.
