Event description:
The Yale BIPOC Grad Collective invites the Yale community to an art mixer and talk on environmental justice and Indigenous medicine preservation on Thursday, 3/30, from 5-8pm at Yale AfAm House (211 Park St.)!

The event features Indigenous spiritual leaders discussing their land & traditional medicine preservation efforts and introduces the Wirikuta Preservation Project (WPP). The so-far successful WPP initiative was launched in 2022 by young environmental and spiritual activists under guidance of Wixárika Elders (spiritual elders) of the San Andres-Cohamiata communities with the vision to preserve their annual pilgrimage and the sacred site of Wirikuta in San Luis Potosí, Mexico through the establishment of a nature preserve held in a land trust on behalf the Wixárika People.
We hope you will join us!
