On Sept 5 the Program for Humanities in Medicine and Democracy in America are sponsoring Harriet Washington (renowned author of Medical Apartheid) for a discussion of her new book on race, environmental toxicity, and childhood, A Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Waste.  There will be a public lecture on Thursday Sept. 5 followed up by a panel discussion on Friday Sept. 6 at noon (lunch served).
