Event description:

Literature, Arts, and the Environment Colloquium is excited to launch a new series of Conversations in the Sciences and the Humanities. In this series, we invite a scientist and humanities scholar to discuss a topic that they both address in their work over a cup of coffee and a moderated conversation. We hope that these conversations will provide a forum to bridge the gap between science and humanities scholars as we all try to approach the environment and our place in it through our work. The first conversation will feature Hannah Freed-Thall (NYU, French) and Mary Beth Decker (Yale, EEB) to discuss beaches and coastal ecosystems. Coffee, tea and refreshments served.
