Hannah Freed-Thall is an Associate Professor of French Literature, Thought, and Culture. Freed-Thall’s current book project, The Beach Effect, examines the modernist seashore as a precarious commons, zone of ecological transience, and site of queer encounter. Professor Freed-Thall’s lecture will be followed by a response from Morgane Cadieu, Associate Professor of French at Yale University.
