Event description:
Join Yale Center for Race, Indigeneity, and Transnational Migration, Yale Sustainable Food Program, and Yalies 4 Palestine for a screening of Jumana Manna’s film, Foragers. Foragers depicts the dramas around the practice of foraging for wild edible plants in Israel and Palestine. Shot in the Golan Heights, the Galilee and Jerusalem, it employs fiction, documentary and archival footage to portray the impact of Israeli nature protection laws on these customs. Those interested in coming early can participate in making breads and spreads from the Farm’s hearth oven.
