Event description: 

Join us for for an exciting conversation over food with Dr Nicole Sheriko (Assistant Professor of English at Yale University) on animal matter and animacy on the early English stage.  Professor Sheriko studies renaissance performance culture, drawing on literary studies as well as theater history, art history, performance studies, and archives of material culture. 

A light lunch will be served at the event.

Note: Subsequent events in the 'Food for Thought' series will be held on October 12, when Hannah Shepherd (Assistant Professor of History) will present on urbanization and maritime space in relation to modern Japan and its colonial empire; and on November 9, when Pauline LeVen (Professor of Classics and of Music) will present on her current book project, entitled Reading Greek Poetry in the Anthropocene.
