Event description:

The Ecocriticism Working Group is pleased to welcome Chelsea Jack, doctoral student in the Department of Anthropology to screen her short film, entitled “Iris & Hemp,” and to discuss her film series-in-progress. ”Iris & Hemp” follows two sisters growing hemp for CBD to revive a farm that has been in their family since 1787 in Salem, New York. Chelsea’s ongoing dissertation research explores emerging hemp supply chains in New York State.

The Ecocriticism Working Group provides a forum for conversations about works-in-progress by members of the Yale community, as well as the consideration of ecocriticism as a critical field, a methodology, and a theoretical framework. Meetings take place over the lunch hour (12:00 pm - 1:30 pm). Lunch is provided.
