Breakfast Conversation with Jill Jarvis

Join us for our final breakfast conversation of the fall semester, with Jill Jarvis, Assistant Professor of French at Yale. Professor Jarvis’ most recent project focuses on French nuclear testing sites in the Sahara Desert. She is particularly interested in the environmental and social repercussions of largely concealed nuclear testing activity, as well as representations of these sites in film. Professor Jarvis will present some of her work and findings, giving us the opportunity to consider  the aesthetic and practical dimensions of ecocriticism, and environmental justice.
