In this first biography of the Algerian artist Baya Mahiedddine, Alice Kaplan tells the story of a remarkable journey from a flower farm in Algiers to the center of the Paris art world–a bi-national drama in the twilight of Algérie Française.
The Yale Mediterranean Series aims to bring different voices (artists, writers, and scholars) with profound experience in the region to help us re-envision the Mediterranean.
