Event description:
In this session of the Ornament’s Refracted Cosmologies series, an ecologist and environmental artist come together to discuss how ornament, as a visual expression of humankind’s relationship to and interpretation of the natural world, can act as a pedagogical tool for translating ecological function and theory into the built environment. Can ornament help reconnect architecture with nature, both empathically and intellectually?
