Thomas E. Lovejoy ’63 B.A., ’71 Ph.D., Senior Fellow at the United Nations Foundation and University Professor, George Mason University will deliver a series of three lectures. The lecture series title is “The World of the Born and the World of the Made: A New Vision of Our Emerald Planet.”
The challenge of climate change. How is it affecting the Emerald Planet? How much might be “too much”? Is the sixth extinction at hand? How can ecosystem restoration help us address climate change, alter our perceptions of how our planet works, and nurture our human aspiration? What is the role of awe?
