Esteemed Yoruba sculptor and woodcarver, and sixth-generation Fákéve artisan,
Lukman Aladé Fákéve will lead a discussion on the full cycle of wood preparation - from tree selection to harvesting and curing. With his tools in tow, Mr Fákéye will reflect on forest stewardship, his relationships with his native forests, how he works with wood rather than on it, and the vitality of the material. This outdoor event will take place under the trees at the Yale Farm.
